find cos(theta) if sin(theta) = 0.745 and tan( theta) is negative

tan = sin /cos as tan theta is negative which means one of sin and cos must be negative but sin is positive so cos will be negative
OpenStudy (gorv):
cos theta=sqrt( 1-sin^2 theta ) whatever value of cos theta u will get multiply it by -1
