I give medal and Fan plz help me. Divide (8x4y3 + 4x3y2 - 2x2y - 12x2y4) by -2x2y. Show your work, and justify each step.

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

Do you think you can help?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, I can..all you have to do is divide all the whole numbers by -2. Then subtract all the x's with exponents by 2, and subtract all the y's with exponents by 1.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Can you do that?

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\dfrac{8x^4y^3 + 4x^3y^2 - 2x^2y - 12x^2y^4}{-2x^2y}\) \(-4x^2y^2 -2xy + 6y^3\) See how I did that?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

Yes
