Fred's diner serves 3/4 pound steaks every night. Saturday night they served 16 steaks. How many pounds of steak did they serve in total?

OpenStudy (geneticrockhopper247):

This is pretty simple. All you have to do is multiply the number of steaks served by the weight of each steak.

OpenStudy (geneticrockhopper247):

16*.75 (which is 3/4)= 12. SO 12 lbs

OpenStudy (geneticrockhopper247):

Does my somewhat mixed up explanation make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
