What effect will introducing a constant have on an exponential function?

It depends where it is introduced. f(x) + 15 This is a vertical shift up 15 units. The function is f(x) + 15 = 23(1.75)x + 15. f(x – 3) This is a horizontal shift to the right 3 units. The function is f(x – 3) = 23(1.75)x – 3. f(x) – 23 This is a vertical shift down 23 units. The function is f(x) – 23 = 23(1.75)x – 23. f(–x) This reflects the graph over the y-axis. The function is f(–x) = 23(1.75)–x.
