To achieve gains in fitness, the minimum number of weeks for a workout plan should be:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2-3 days a week, and well it usually depends what your workout plan is, like im in weightlifting and i workout 2-3 days a week but i do it at school for a class so im doing it for like 7-9 months. but you will start to see results clearly if you have a good diet, but you can usually notice them after 2-4 weeks but using weights will help ALOT better than a regular workout. but sprinting can also lead to the same things as using weights, like try to set a time goal if you dont use weights.

but without weights/and or cardio, etc. then it could take up to idk maybe 6 months + without a healthy diet unless you use some type of set for your workout like body weight, speed. but you have to eat like the food pyramid, or stick to 6-8 meals a day.

all depends on your goals
