The ground receives the least sunlight because the sunlight has to travel through all the other layers of rainforest before it reaches the ground. Is this an english question?

The leaves of the plants on the ground of the rainforest are often very large and broad and flat, that's because they don't have as much opportunity for sunlight, so they have increased surface area to capture as much as possible.
