6(4 – x) + 6x = 24

@Vlery @TheSmartOne @CloverRacer

OpenStudy (vlery):

I showed you wht to do now let's start with the distribution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24 - 6x + 6x = 24 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24 - 12x +24

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

24=24

OpenStudy (vlery):

nope since it's negative 6 and positive 6 they would cancel out

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So x can be any number in the world.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 – 3x = 3(8 – x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how to do this one

OpenStudy (vlery):

try just typing the equation so that those ? things don't appear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just need to refresh the page

OpenStudy (vlery):

oh lol ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya XD

OpenStudy (vlery):

6x=24 x=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u get that?

OpenStudy (vlery):

my computer bout to die so I just went to the end but when distributed 3(8-x) you get 24-3x -3x=24-3x add -3x to one side that cancels them out

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

6 – 3x = 3(8 – x) 6-3x=24-3x 6\(\neq \)24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

There is no solution for x

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You can even plug back in 4 and see 6 – 3(4) = 3(8 – 4) 6-12=3(4) -6=12
