Which observation indicates that it is a living thing that is multicellular? A. It can be found in water. B. It has membrane-bound organelles. C. It possesses an uneven shape. D. It is motile.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think, and why? =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also: please post the context of this question, since none of these answers actually point towards both criteria (living thing + multicellular)

OpenStudy (damien):

C

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Eukaryotic cells contain many membrane-bound organelles. An organelle is an organized and specialized structure within a living cell. The organelles include the nucleus, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vacuoles, lysosomes, mitochondria, and, in plants, chloroplasts. Knowing this, what do you think it is?

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

@damien Giving out answers is against OpenStudy Code of Conduct. Make sure it does not happen again.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

And C is not the correct answer.

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Can you take a guess? You know that it is not C, so it is A B or D. It is alright if you get it wrong. I'm here to help. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is d

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Your answer would be B. Do you understand why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

An organelle is an organized and specialized structure within a living cell. Membrane-bound organelles are living cells that live in multicellular organisms.

Which statement best describes the role of the cell membrane? A. It stores genetic material. B. It produces proteins. C. It breaks down food particles. D. It encloses the cytoplasm.

Why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which two features indicate that a cell is a plant cell and not an animal cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know animal cells don't have cell walls.

just remember to close it now and repost. Please do that, then I will help. :)

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Are you going to post the new question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are single-celled eukaryotic organisms, such as amoebas :-) so B wouldn't be right (talking about the first question now) @secret-ninja there are single-celled organisms that live in water. singe-celled organisms can move via flagella or such. the 'uneven shape' can refer to a non-living thing. this is why I intended you post additional information, because none of the answers is technically right. second question: D is indeed the right answer. all other tasks are accomplished by other cellular parts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it's D
