For the velocity-time graph attached, what is the average acceleration between 60 s and 120 s? A. +13.6 m/s^2 B. +21.5 m/s^2 C. +29.4 m/s^2 D. +1,700 m/s^2 How do I calculate this? :/

OpenStudy (eyust707):

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity or the slope of the velocity vs time graph. Another way of asking this question would be; what is the slope of the line between 60 and 120 seconds?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Boy this is tough, they don't give you very clear points. To me, it looks like we have: (60, 800) and (120, 2700)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, no clear points :( I saw it as 2750 haha but I got 32.5 and with 2700, I get 31.67, so would the closest answer be C?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

Yes I would agree.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Yah, seems the most likely :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay! thank you both!! @eyust707 and @zepdrix :)
