A bowling ball leaves a bowler's hand. An accelerometer inside the ball reads zero. Which of the following best describes what happens to the ball? A. The ball speeds up. B. The ball moves at a constant speed. C. The ball curves toward the gutter. D. The ball slows down. Not quite sure what this means :( Thanks!! @perl :)

OpenStudy (perl):

if acceleration is zero, then velocity is constant (or speed is constant)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay, so B?

OpenStudy (perl):

think of physics. remember if there is no net force on an object, then it will either continue traveling in a line (constant speed), or it will remain at rest if it was at rest originally

OpenStudy (perl):

yes B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome! thanks @perl :)

OpenStudy (perl):

i think thats called the law of inertia?

OpenStudy (perl):

or newtons first law

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okie :)
