Yes, to insure that they are putting in a proper number of hours, and completing the material correctly and understand what they are learning.

Yes and no because the parent should be there to make sure there kid is doing what there suppose to do,if there kid needs help and they dont understand and the teacher isnt showing a good example the parent should help the kid,and to make sure there kid is safe and no because you cant be there all the time you have to work that way the kid has something to eat everyday and have what they need

Yes, because if the student needed help, he could get his/her parent, guardian, or tutor to help him/her. They also need to watch the student to see if they are doing their work correctly, and not doing anything else. The parent, guardian, or tutor should make sure that the student does a good amount of work each day, and make sure the assignments the student submits have a good grade. If the student had no one watching them, they would do whatever they wanted and wouldn't do their work.
