what do you know about Mitochondria, Chloroplasts, Ribosomes, the ER and the Golgi? I want to know what your problem is with the question.

Are all of these 'organelles'? What does each one do? (wikipedia helps here)

that's not the point. people want to learn something. if you provide an answer like this, nobody learns anything. you know it already, so you don't learn anything. and the asker will never understand why one is right and the others are wrong. so he can put an answer into his book, but is no smarter than before.

and because you just give an answer you know to show off, and risk a guy not learning anything, I call you selfish @mustap

I was never showing off and he asked for the answer. Btw most people I see on this site just want the answer. Wikipedia however does not count as "teaching' the other person. Its the same thing as being told what the answer is. The way you were "teaching" made no sense to me and i'm pretty sure thats why he just left this question.

it has no sense arguing with you. just think about what kind of help you want with your biology problems. whether you want a robot that gives you the answer, or whether you want a teacher. I am a teacher, and I get mad at people like you who don't understand jack about actual teaching.

and btw: wikipedia is the best knowledge base I know. I use it to work myself into a difficult new topic because it provides good basic facts. I wanted the asker to look up facts. the teaching happens here. once again: you didn't get that. and you did show off. just think about it another time.

no teaching just answers no showing off involved either. Wikipedia isn't accepted by most teachers since it is an unreliable source of information, for personal use sure use it but it can be changed by anyone in the whole world. I can currently go to wiki and make it say that Abraham lincoln is still alive. I have no desire to argue with snotty brats like you who think they know everything so I find no reason to say more. I have made my point and done.

you clearly have no idea how wiki works either :) luckily, I am an editor and can explain it to you:

an article doesn't get published until a jury has revisited your changes. if you can't prove what you are writing, then the article will get marked with "too few sources". I had a few university professors (!) who work as editors and write articles themselves. teachers at your school may or may not know the quality of wikipedia. that doesn't change it's there.

and I will not take an insult like that from a guy like you, because that's clearly below me. :-)

I know how wiki works and I don't believe that you are an editor. I could literally go right now and say that hitler is obamas brother or something. If it gets taken down eventually then that's to late, in the few minutes that you need to go visit the article it could have been changed. I don't understand why you're so mad.
