i agree, if you don't check where the information is coming from how can you be sure that it is accurate at all? Having to check sources is always a good idea because it is the NUMBER ONE way to avoid plagiarism. Always include your sources when doing any kind of project or paper or anything like that.
Depends, for example if I'm writing a math report and add 2+2=4 I don't really need to state "Property of Addition". You source what is considered not to be common knowledge. Any statistic, definition, or anything in research papers should be sourced.
