I think it is A) Calcium.

I can see why you think that, but it's not Calcium. It's actually B) Carbon! If you look at all the chemical structures of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, they all contain carbon and hydrogen, but carbon is the one that has multiple bonds with all the other molecules.
