A boat at anchor is bobbing up and down in the sea. The vertical distance, y, in feet, between the sea floor and the boat is given as a function of time, t, in seconds, by y=12+sin(2π/9)t ft. Find the vertical velocity, v, of the boat as a function of time t

OpenStudy (ilovecake):

Any guesses?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think velocity is the derivative of the equation given, but I've tried that and it's not right.
