Music group guidelines.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Do's: - Discussions and questions on musical theory. - Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc. - Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful). Dont's: - Post YouTube videos for other artists. - Post poems, they belong in the literature or writing section. - Post SoundCloud links for other artists. - Post questions about what people's favorite genres are. - Post an Artist's name and a song by them, (e.g. a question that contains just -something like "One Direction Kiss You") - Post song lyrics that are not yours - Poll questions (e.g. "Do you like this song?" "What do you think about this band?" etc.) - Questions like "What songs should I download?" "What's good music for a birthday party?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says nothing about rap battles

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Allow me to quite myself: "There are some things missing tho" Rap battles is one of them. Those are not allowed.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

I would like to publicly confirm this is an outdated guideline section, and rap battles are not allowed in this section. Thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...srsly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't rap music?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Not really, it doesn't have a "tune". It's just words being said out loud not using vocal chords. For more information: http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=18543

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Thanks for bumping this post @Ashleyisakitty ^_^

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

@HeyWassup345 Posting raps you wrote is fine, hosting rap battles threads is not allowed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it practices our rapping skills

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and eclipsed rap is music its called "RAP MUSIC" R.A.P= Rhythm And Poetry

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Well, I will look into your viewpoint. Anyways, I would be okay with rap battles if it excluded the language.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Have a rap battle in the music chat box, as long as it has friendly all-age appropriate language.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course we will be sure to do that ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eclipsed how are we gonna have a rap battle without language?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

You can. I've seen raps that were swear-free.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

without language?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO SAY ANYTHING???
