Cation has positive charge. Anion has negative charge. Try some mnemonic to remember this- As a Kid, i remembered that Cations are attracted towards Cathode - Cathode is negative Anions are attracted to Anode. Some people remember it by looking at the letter 't' in the cation. t looks like +.
