Why might an animal cell burst in a hypotonic solution and a plant cell would not?

OpenStudy (bioepic):

A plant cell has a cell wall which is not permeable to water. However, an animal cell had a cell membrane that is permeable to water. Therefore, the animal cell would take in water while the plant cell would not. Another reason is that the cell wall of a plant is rigid, which keeps the cell from bursting, while the cell membrane is flexible and can break.
