selling price = 88.50 buying price = 59 markup is the difference = (88.50 -59) So the markup is 29.50 dollar you need percent markup on selling price so you need the markup expressed as a percentage of the selling price That is the markup divided by the sellingprice, and the outcome multiplied by 100
