The last years of Galileo's life were sad and tragic. In April 1634, Galileo's favorite daughter passed away causing Galileo to feel, "immense sorrow and melancholy." Also, in his later years, Galileo became physically ill and the pope refused to release him from house-arrest for medical reasons. Near the end of Galileo's life, Galileo lost his eyesight. Becuase he was blind, Galileo could not continue with his work and experiments. In conclusion, these difficulties caused Galileo's last years to be sad and tragic.

"passed away causing Galileo" Because there's a natural pause between 'away' and 'causing', a comma is needed there

Other than that, I didn't see any other errors
