what is the point intersection of 2x-y=3 and x +y =3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IF the sum of a number and 4 is multiplied by 2 the result is 28. what is the number? could you do that too?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Do you remember how to graph an equation in a basic way by folowing the y=mx+b method? like, if you graph 2x-y=3 -y = 3-2x y = -3 + 2x y = 2x - 3 |dw:1414546383879:dw| You do the same with x+y=3, and you'll get y = -x + 3 |dw:1414546462171:dw|

OpenStudy (zale101):

Now, combine the graphs and see where they intersect. The intersection point is the answer :)
