Photosynthetic organisms are __________? (A) Decomposers. (B) Heterotrophs. (C) Animals. (D) Producers. (E) Consumers.
@shrutipande9 @Javk
what do u think?
id say heterotrophs
heterotrophs are d ones which cannot produce their own food....like us humans...and photosynthetic oranisms would be like plants. now can u guess?
but doesnt that kinda mean i am correct because plants use sunlight for food which they cannot produce themselves
well they dont decompose stuff and theyre not animals
yeah..that is source of energy...not food...see by food i mean..organic stuff
and they dont produce the sunlight but they do consume it
use the sunlight to make carbohdrates....so they produce...
so i guess they are heteotrophic consumers
*face palm*
i suck lol
ur point is absolutely right...by saying they consume sunlight...but here when we differentiate into producers and consumers...it is based on organic material like carbohydrates proteins fats etc.
u dont suck...u think different...which is good..:D
plants produce fats?
well now im confused lol
but pretty much they are producers because
use the sunlight to make carbohdrates
fats means not the kind of fat that we store in adipose tissue...but they do have cell mambrane which contains various lipids. plus many plants have seeds which store oil...
oh righto, cool beans
exactly...basically they make glucose from sunlight and CO2
sweet
dang theyre smart
hahah...u think like me..:P i find d smaller creatures way more cooler than us...plants r the smartest....u should read about their defence mechanism..:D
a hoard of rabid spikey flying squirels that protect their nuts to the last squirel?
jks but i agree, David Attenborough made an awesome film the life of plants
ohh really? havent watched that..i must..thanks..:D
anytime, i was actually watching his natural history museum Alive movie just last night
good stuff
oh hey i totally get it now!!!!
plants produce glucose from sunlight and CO2 (which they 'consume'
and they store this in their cell membrane? or at least within the tree?
is that right @shrutipande9
abssolutely right..store it in cells also in d form of fruits seeds storage roots etc etc
how totally cool!!!!!!!!!
well thanks so much for taking the time to explain and share
i m glad to help..:D
well you make me glad to learn
:D
righto well i should go for a run or something ive been inside all day, thank you again, goodnight
or its probably morning in america i dunno
thank you again and cya
