Absolute Value Equation With Variables On Both Sides - I DO NOT want the answer to this equation. 9|9-8x| = 2x +3 Do I start with the left side or right side first? Do I divide 9 from both sides or what? Basically how do I solve this equation (without you giving me the answer)?

@perl help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You start with the way I told you.. Firstly : take \(|9-8x| = (9-8x)\) only. and solve for \(x\)..

OpenStudy (perl):

get rid of the 9 in front

OpenStudy (perl):

divide both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay perl you carry on..!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@perl Divide the 3 by 9, correct?
