To change the equation into this form, you need to make y the subject of the equation. So take the x variable onto the right side of the equation simply by taking 2x from both sides. This leaves you with 3y = 1200 - 2x. Then you need to remove the coefficient of y by dividing by 3. You are left with y = 400 - (2/3)x. The slope or gradient is whatever is in front of the x in this sort of equation, so -(2/3) and the y intercept is the number by itself, here 400. So your slope is -2/3 and y intercept is 400, hope that helps.
