can you solve this pls? sqrt(5)/10*(x-5)+sqrt(5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got sqrt(5)/10x-sqrt(5)/2+sqrt (5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, what you've done is right, but you can combine the -sqrt(5)/2 and sqrt(5) and you can factorise the sqrt(5) if you'd like as well and get sqrt(5)[x/10 + 1/2]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what if i multiply the sqrt (5) to 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would i get -5/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i add it to -sqrt(5)/2?
