Giving a medal :-) Why are there no photos of Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address? A) He asked that no pictures be taken. B) Photographers did not have time to set up. C) The news media did not like him. D) It was raining too hard for pictures.
B I think :)
B doesn't really make sense..I bet it's A.
@Joel_the_boss
The speech was really short and no one had time to even setup up there stuff. Remember it was over 100 years ago they didn't have the flash cameras they had to carry around giant boxes of stuff.
A is the only one that makes sense..if they really wanted a picture of it..they would've allowed time for the photographers to set up. C. Everyone liked Lincoln..but even if they didn't like him they would still take the picture for their business. D. I don't think it was raining..lol.
Wait... cameras existed back then? ...... O.o
You forget this was after the war, Lincoln practically had a target on his face for abolishing slavery.
if it takes that long to set up a camera, I would've guessed that he was finished with the speech before the photographer had time to take a picture. The closest option to that is B.... Just a guess.
The only reason Lincoln abolished slavery was to turn the slaves on the south so he had a bigger advantage in winning the war..he didn't do it out of the goodness of his heart, like most people think he did.. @Joel_the_boss
Oh well, pick whatever you think is best. @Wallst10
@iGreen why are we talking about slavery -_- It was a bad thing point blank period.
I don't know..I'm just saying it wouldn't have stopped at that time if the Civil War didn't happen.
Wallst10, you can close your question now. :)
