What are the 3 sets of reaction that take place in photosynthesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first is when light serves as a catalyst for carbon dioxide and water to chemically react into sugar and oxygen. So: 6xCO2 + 6xH2O ----(light)---> C6H12O6 + 6xO2 (the 6x is to balance the equation, representative of 6 molecules) An atom is a single element ex. O (1 oxygen atom) A molecule is multiple atoms bonded together ex. CO2 (1 carbon atom and 2 oxygen atoms) In this case Oxygen is the byproduct of photosynthesis (also waste material that plants don't need). Sugar is the energy that helps feed the plant. There are many many different reactions that can occur via photosynthesis, this one is just for plants. I'm not sure if you meant the 3 steps that happen in a typical photosynthesis reaction. Hope this helped.
