What does the age at diagnosis tell you about the mutation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The age of diagnosis tell me that the development of the mutation forms over the years because it is a genetic diease, woman seems to get it when entering the later stage of life. In this graph it explains the ages of people who had got Breast Cancer. The lowest age was 30. The highest was 50-59. There were more than 70, 000 new cases of Brest Cancer in the year of 2003. According to the graph woman are more likely to get the disease when they have reached an older year. Cases of Breast Cancer BRCA Mutations in Women Diagnosed with Breast Cancer Describe how mutations lead to genetic variations? Analyze a woman's risk of dying of cancer if she carries a mutated BRC1 gene. A woman's risk of dying of cancer if she carries a mutated BRC1 gene is really high. The percentage of women who dies is 18% which is extremely higher than BRC2 which is 2.8%. What data would you need to see in order to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of preventive surgeries? The data I would need to see in order to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of preventive surgeries is seeing the genetic analysis of the patients family. Explain how breast-cancer genes are present in the population, despite caner-related surgeries and deaths. Breast-Cancer genes are present in the population, despite cancer-related surgeries and deaths because usually when a person inherit breast cancer the genetic mutation is passed on and then the mutation would be in the reproductive cells. Also, I think sometimes when doctors have surgeries they remove majority of the cancer but it will not be fully removed, that is why most woman sometimes get the cancer again. Mutations lead to genetic variations because mutation is when the genetic code altered. For example, when a pregnant mother gets expose to radiation her child would be born with physical mutation, which is what leads to genetic variations.
