It was left open.  So all sorts of other people see it.  Also, even the closed questions show up on a Google search.  So by closing it and adding a note, it helps promote the idea that people need to use the site as designed.

And, if they ever give is a way to move posts, it gives me something to search for.  Then I can move a bunch to the proper places.
