? ΔABC is translated 6 units up and 3 units left to create ΔA′B′C′. If vertex A is located at (-1, 2), what are the coordinates of A′ ?

a.(5, -1) b.(-4, 8) c.(2, -4) d.(-7, -1)

Since the vertex of A is (-1,2) and you want to translate it 6 units up and 3 units left so to move up in the coordinate plane you add and to move to the left you subtract. (also to go down you would subtract and to move right you would add. You need to add 6 to the y coordinate and subtract 3 from the x coordinate So (-1+-3,2+6). Your new coordinate is (-4,8)
