a manufacturers total cost is c(q)=.3q^3-.8q^2+420q+150 dollars when the level of production is q units. the current level of production is 100 units, and the manufacturer is planning to increase this to 102 units. estimate how the total cost will change as a result

c(102) - c(100)
thats the exact change in total cost. you can also 'estimate' it using differentials
c(102) = c'(100) * 2
dC = dC/dq* dq
would the answer be 74938
