easiest to factor out -1 first (-1)(x2-4x+3) (-1)(x (x the last term is positive so the signs of the last terms have to be +, + or - - since the middle term is negative lets try - - (-1)(x - (x - the last term 3 , what are the multiples 3 and 1 so, but where do they go?? (-1)(x - 3 )(x -1)
