with what?

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

Given a scale factor of 2, find the coordinates for the dilation of the line segment with endpoints (-1, 2) and (3, -3). 1. (2, 4) and (6, 6) 2. (2, 4) and (6, 6) 3. ( -2, 4) and (6, -6) 4. (2, -1) and (-3, 3)

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

I know question 1 and 2 are the same answer choice, that's just how my teacher put it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm.... what did u think it was

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

I don't know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if u have scale factor of number lats say n , and u need to find dilation for a point (x,y) u only need to multiply n by the point like this n(x,y)=(nx+ny)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u have scale factor of 2 and two points :- (-1,2) and (3,-3) so multiply 2 by the points 2(-1,2) and 2(3,-3) so u would have (-2,4) and (6,-6) dont worry about 1 and 2 being the same :P since both are wrong :P

good luck !
