What is the equation of a circle with a center at (-4, -8) and a radius of 1.9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just plug the points into the formula, and thats it? or is there more steps?

OpenStudy (perl):

the equation is (x-h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2 , for circle with center (h,k) and radius r

OpenStudy (perl):

yeah basically you plug in for h and k and r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thank you so much! I can do the rest of them now:) What about when it comes to elipeses and hyperbola equations? Is there a "formula"/equation you can give me for that?
