Which of the following elements has three unpaired electrons when it is a +2 ion? Zinc, Strontium, Cobalt, or Zirconium I thought that all of these elements have 2 valence electrons. If they lose these, wouldn't they have full p shells and it would be impossible for them to have THREE unpaired electrons?
