Emily designed a robot that could climb down steps. She drew a graph to show the results from a test of her new robot. The graph shows the number of steps remaining over time. Complete the equation that represents Emily’s situation. y = __x + __ I think it's y=-5/2x+15 .. but I'm most likely wrong .

The y intercept you did, +15, is correct. However, the \(-\dfrac{5}{2}\) has a problem. If you think of it as rise over run, or change in y over change in x, you can see this more clearly. |dw:1414795429699:dw| Where Y has gone down by -1, what has x changed by? Put that in the fractional form of: \(\dfrac{y}{x}\). You know the top, -1, so \(\dfrac{-1}{x}\) just fill in the bottom.
