Prove that in y^3=x, y is a function of x in the reals

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

couldn't you use the vertical line test?

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

y is the function of x look at here y is the domain and x is the range we suppose y is a any real number and x is also real number when we put ''1'' in the place of y then it give us x=1 and when y=2 then 2^3 =x 8=x 8 is also real number so now we put sqrt 2 in the place of y then x = ( sqrt 2)^3 so these number showing that when we put real number at the place of y , we will get x which is also real number

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

if u have any problem then ask i will try my best
