http://gyazo.com/eb4005cef49967d854523009bfdd0fae Is the slope Positive, negative, zero or undefined? I already have the answers, just need to know which one it is.

@iambatman @zepdrix

OpenStudy (freckles):

first of dividing by zero is not zero

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

The work is correct for both but you still need to classify the slopes. For the second, a hint: dividing by zero is undefined

OpenStudy (freckles):

is 1 a positive number or negative number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 is positive

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

and yea, \[-13/0 \neq0\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

so there you have your answer

OpenStudy (freckles):

for the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what would i write for the second one, undefined ?

OpenStudy (freckles):

yes and if you had 0/-13 that would be zero but you have -13/0 which as study says is not zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And would i say it is positive since the slope is a positive number?

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

for number 1, yes ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks, So what would i say for the second one?

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

undefined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

anytime :)

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[\frac{a}{0} \text{ is undefined } (a \neq 0) \\ \frac{0}{a}=0 \]
