In pea plants, purple flowers (P) are dominant over white flowers (p) and tall stems (T) are dominant over short stems (t). Complete a dihybrid cross for parents with the genotypes: PpTT × ppTt and answer the following in complete sentences. Describe how you would set up a Punnett square for this cross. List the likelihood of each possible offspring genotype. List the likelihood of each possible offspring phenotype.

Complete the above punnet square and try answering the questions. If you get stuck, tag me in again.

i actually finished it before you replied lol. but i do need help on a different assignment. it's biology @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Whoa ! Looks like you are pretty fast or maybe i am not fast enough to catch ya :D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

How may i help you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha. and i need help typing a pararaph. For this assignment, you will write an essay describing the production of protein molecules through transcription and translation. Your essay should include discussions of the following: DNA mRNA RNA polymerase base pairing transcription translation tRNA rRNA ribosomes amino acids protein

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Allryt ! Do you know what is translation and transcription at first place ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think. it said the definitions of it in the lesson. hold on i'll type it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says for transcription: the synthesis of an RNA molecule from a DNA template. and for translation it says: the process in which the base sequences in mRNA are used to direct the arrangement of amino acids in protein synthesis.

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, that's correct. First of all the DNA is transcripted into the mRNA. These messenger RNAs carry the information required for the synthesis of amino acid to the ribosomes. Ribosomes are the organelle which synthesize amino acids. Now Ribosomes synthesizew the amino acids and the process is called as translation. These amino acids finally polymerize to form proteins.
