need help on solving limits.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lim_{\theta \rightarrow 0}\frac{ \sin \theta }{ \theta+ tan\theta }\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

I would first write in terms of sin and cos

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}\frac{\sin(x)}{x+\frac{\sin(x)}{\cos(x)}}\] now divide both top and bottom by x so you can use the following \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0}\frac{\sin(x)}{x}=1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you multiple by theta-tan?

OpenStudy (freckles):

tan(theta)? no that will not help us write in terms of sin and cos
