Well, you're just trying to figure out what the phrase is referring to.. so to what would "the watery planet" refer? 

Life? or Earth?

Would you call 'Life' "the watery planet"? Does that make sense? cx

That would be earth the way you put it I'd think. I have not gotten a very good understanding in things like pronouns and nouns.
