Hello and Welcome to OpenStudy! :) what would you like to do with this equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are trying to solve for x, first start by getting everything on to one side. It should look like x^2+6x-16 Next, try to factor, if you cant factor, use the quadratic formula For examples factor x^2+5x+6 will factor into (x+3)(x+2) Quadratic formula takes polynomials like ax^2+bx+c and puts them into the equation \[\frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac} }{ 2a}\]
