try to use the work energy theorem PEi + KEi = PEf + KEf
KE= 1/2*mv^2 PE = m*g*h change 160 grams = .160 kg .160 * 9.8*1.4 + 1/2 * .160 * v^2 = .160 * 9.8 * (12) + 1/2*.160*0
so energy is conserved
1/2 * .160 * v^2 = .160 * 9.8 * (12) - .160 * 9.8*1.4
i get v = 14.41 m/s
