Im giving a medal!! In what two ways did Northerners respond to the Emancipation Proclamation? A) They did not approve of slaves being set free. B) They did not think the document went far enough. C) They believed the war was about secession. D) They thought it should have not been written.

Remember that the north was the side who let slaves free, the south was the ones who were against the document.
