It seems more often than not more questions are being asked that helped. I know I'm not to speak for everyone but is there a way we could promote helping others more than just waiting for an answer?

not one that i know of but Maybe there will be one to come along soon enough

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

Helpers help on a volunteer basis. the person in charge of the OpenStudy Facebook and Twitter accounts has been working on attracting people with the potential to help others by posting seemingly simple questions that helpers can help with. the problem, though, is that Helpers do not get much in exchange for their services... They get medals and titles and high smartscores that mean *nothing* in life. (then there are those who cheat and give answers, but that can be discussed at a different time) but yeah, helpers don't get anything in return for all the help they give. The Admins, dev team, and mods have been working on ways to fix this problem. The latest example being the Titles, which are gained from medals, and medals are fastest gained by helping on questions. They are also currently working on the idea of Qualified Helpers, and offering Community Service hours for helping. The idea of Qualified Helpers being that one could become a qualified helper, people would pay $1 to get the attention of this qualified helper, and the qualified helper would get payed a portion... it's a work in progress
