Most boot managers must be installed on a new drive.  If it suddently went poof for no reason, it is a sign of bad hings.

If it is a new drive, then Toshiba probably has a utility for installing all this.  If it went poof for no reason, well, then you may need to look into other things.

A lot of times you need to do a factory reinstall.  That means the facortory CD/DVD set.  Usually a faotry set is made the first time a machine is used, if a person follows the recovery instructions, or can be ordered for a small shipping charge.
