So we know we have to pay $2.50 on each mile. This leads us to be able to know that we need to have a 2.50(m) in this equation. We also have to subtract this all from 20 so we can have that in the beginning of the equation. But you also have to subtract the 5 from 20 and retricethe 2.50(m). Your equation should look something like 20-(5+2.50(m))
