what is the criteria publishers use? what criteria shows if a piece of writing is good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but hope this helps http://www.isbe.net/common_core/pls/level1/html/ela-pub-crit.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no sorry. :( i meant like what "things" (criteria) makes writing good. ex; twilight vs harry potter -quality of writing( how can you classify it)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh okay is there any options in your question or do you have to answer on your own.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer on our own :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if you need things that make writing good -good grammar -dialogue (helps you show rather than just tell) -correct punctuation -good use of temporal transitions Also I think Twilight has poor quality than Harry Potter but that's just me. I feel like I am understanding this question wrong so I apologize entirely if I am not much help and I wish you the best of luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no you actually answered well. i was just asking like what standards show is a piece of writing is good or bad like you said, twilight has poor quality compared to harry potter what what criteria are you comparing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope that helps ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay well I looked up the definition and someone said this: "Criteria means that you have to include something....for instance....if your writing a paper.....your teacher might say that the criteria for writing this paper is that it must be double spaced, must have at least 5 sentences per paragragh and must be 2 pages long. That's criteria....it's stuff that's required when your doing something." Do you think you can come up with why Twilight is poor quality compared to Harry Potter? To me the dialogue was plain and unexciting (twilight). Wish I could help more but I actually have to work on my own stuff good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean quality of writing not thinks you must include thanks anyway and good luck fellow writer!
