Triangle ABC has coordinates A(1,4); B(3, -2); and C(4, 2). Find the coordinates of the image A'B'c after a reflection over the x-axis.
I will give medal for answer!
@samsteronbroadway
Reflection over x-axis Original point: (a,b) Reflected point: (a, -b)
Does that help?
Uhh sort of XD I'm still confused though
not really. I'm still confused :P
I dont understand the question :/
@StudyGurl14
You have the points (1,4); (3, -2); and (4, 2) Do this: (1,-4) (3, - (-2)) --> (3,2) (4,-2)
..............what? ;/
So would that mean like, (-1, 4) like basically switching around the numbers :/? @StudyGurl14 @samsteronbroadway
or making them all positive?
@StudyGurl14 ?? u there?
It's hard to understand unless I have the actual answer with an explanation. Like I can't just do it sometimes and this is one of them..
@StudyGurl14
GRRRR IM SO FRUSTRATED RN PLEASE ANYONE HELP GOSH DANGIT!
IKRRR.
Did you bump it?
It's hard to understand unless I have the actual answer with an explanation. Like I can't just do it sometimes and this is one of them..
No, when reflecting across the x-axis, you just take all the y-values and multiply them by -1. The coord I have up there ^ are the answers
Oii.. Can you maybe explain it better? I'm really sorry I'm really tired, and confused.. ;(
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH lmaoo ok okok hang on lol i need to think
I can't even think rn. Just gahh
What do I write?
Give me a second i gotta try to figure this out lol
I can't even.. #typicalwhitegirl
Same rn lol
So I say this? (1,-4) (3, - (-2)) --> (3,2) (4,-2)
yeah
How did you get these answers like how do you explain it ? @StudyGurl14
OMW THANK YOU!!! Sorry I was so lost omg THANK YOU I CANT EVEN THANK YOU THANK YOU
That's what you do it's the new coordinates
I already explained it... take the y-values from the coords and multiply by -1...
OHHHHHHHHHH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH EM GEE THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH YOU HELPED ME
You're welcome
Sameeeeeeee!
