I need help on it and I have quite several questions. I read it before but still need help understanding it.

What purpose does the author cite for writing this proposal?

a) to make the public aware of the burdens caused by poor children

b) to make poor children beneficial rather than burdensome

c) to make poor children aware of the benefits provided to them by their parents

d) to make poor children burdensome rather than beneficial

I would go with A because in the story the authors purpose is to call attention to the poverty in Ireland.
